Evaluation

The first hour

The first hour is where Bee learns how you move and what you want from care. It is a full evaluation and a first treatment in one sitting, so you leave with something in hand.

This care is for you if

  • You have pain or stiffness that hasn't settled on its own

  • You want your own physical therapist for the whole hour

  • You're returning to activity after an injury or a surgery and want a plan

  • You'd like an estimate in writing before you commit

What the hour looks like

  • Who treats you

Bee Ly, a Minnesota-licensed physical therapist, for the entire hour.

  • What we do

A history, a hands-on exam, first treatment and exercises, and a written plan you can take home.

  • What it doesn't include

A diagnosis from a physician, imaging or prescriptions. Bee will say when you need one.

What decides the rest

  • What decides how many hours

What you want, what the exam finds and how you respond. No one asks you to commit on the first day.

  • How it is paid for

You pay Tilde directly, and you get a written estimate first. See how fees work for receipts and HSA or FSA cards.

When to see a doctor first

Call 911 or go to an emergency room for chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache, sudden weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or after a serious fall or injury.

See your physician first if you have a fever with pain, pain that wakes you and doesn't change with position, or an unexplained loss of weight. Bee will tell you if what she finds needs a physician's attention before more physical therapy.

Questions about this

What should I wear?

Clothes you can move in. If your hip, knee or foot is the concern, bring shorts or leggings. You will never be asked to undress.

Do I need anything from my doctor?

No. If you have imaging reports or a surgeon's notes, bring them. They save time.

What if I'm not sure physical therapy is right for me?

Bee will tell you at the end of the hour. If another professional would help more, she says so.
